Brand Foundation // Strategy First

We start before visual design.

A brand is more than a logo. It is the position, identity and system people remember — decided in words before it is ever drawn.

01 // POSITION

What should the business stand for?

Audience, market position, differentiation — the territory the brand should own, written down and agreed before anything visual exists.

02 // PERSONALITY

How should the brand feel?

Tone, character, language — the qualities people should associate with the business after every encounter.

03 // IDENTITY

How should it look?

The visual identity itself — mark, typography, colour, composition and visual language, drawn from the position.

04 // SYSTEM

How does it stay consistent?

The identity turned into a usable system — rules, files and guidelines that hold across digital and physical touchpoints.

Identity Showcase // Six Components

An identity is a system, not a file.

We do not publish client identities as trophies. Instead — our own identity, shown as the working standard every commission is held to.

IMAGE
Warm Australian light. Real workplaces. Nothing generic.

Art direction with a point of view — imagery rules that keep every photograph feeling like the same business.

LAYOUT

Grid, composition and spacing rules — generous whitespace, hairline dividers, consistent rhythm everywhere.

VOICE
Clear. Intelligent. Restrained. Confident.

Tone and messaging principles — what the brand says, what it never says, and the words it owns.

Production artwork, not presentation images

The finished identity ships as usable masters — SVG vectors for web, print and signage, PNG exports, favicon and digital marks, and a practical guidelines document. Ready for websites, print, signage and whatever comes next.

What We Create // Four Groups

Everything a serious brand needs. Nothing it doesn’t.

Four groups of deliverables, scoped to the depth your business actually requires. No catalogue, no filler.
01 // BRAND STRATEGY

The thinking, written down

Positioning, audience, differentiation, brand territory and messaging direction — the strategy document every later decision refers back to.

02 // VISUAL IDENTITY

The look, drawn properly

Logo and wordmark, colour system, typography, visual language and art direction — crafted as vectors from the first stroke.

03 // BRAND SYSTEM

The rules that hold it together

Identity rules, layouts, graphic elements, image direction and digital applications — including CSS tokens your website is built from.

04 // BRAND ASSETS

The files you actually use

SVG vector masters, PNG exports, favicon and digital marks, social and digital assets, and a practical usage document.

Investment // Scoped Around Depth

Priced on depth. Never on guesswork.

Brand projects are scoped around the depth of strategy, identity and application required — from a focused mark and type refresh to a complete system with guidelines and production artwork.
Fixed scope · Fixed quote

Tell us where the brand has to work — website, signage, fleet, print — and we return a fixed quote for a fixed scope. Brand pairs naturally with a web commission, and that is often the most economical way to commission both.

Common Enquiries

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers. Email hello@design33.com.au if yours is not here.

Do you create logos?

Yes — marks and wordmarks drawn as vectors from the first stroke, as part of a positioned identity. Never clip-art, never a template mark with your name set in it.

Is brand strategy included?

Position and personality always come first — that is what makes the visuals mean something. The depth of strategy work is scoped to the project, from a focused positioning sprint to a full territory definition.

What files do I receive?

SVG vector masters, PNG exports, favicon and digital marks, social and digital assets, and a practical usage document. Print-ready guideline PDFs where the commission calls for them. You own everything.

Do you provide vector and SVG artwork?

Yes. Every mark is drawn as a vector and supplied as SVG masters — suitable for websites, print, signage and scaling to any size without loss.

Can you work with our existing logo?

Yes. We audit what exists, refine and extend what is worth keeping, and build the system around it. If a mark genuinely cannot carry the business, we will tell you straight and show you why.

Can the brand identity be used on my website?

That is the standard path. Identity ships with CSS design tokens our engineers build directly from, so the website inherits the brand exactly — type, colour, spacing and voice.

Do you provide brand guidelines?

Every identity includes a practical usage document — clear space, misuse, colour and type rules. Deeper guideline manuals are scoped for larger rollouts across fleet, signage and teams.

Can Brand and Web be commissioned together?

Yes — it is the most economical way to commission both. Brand typically runs alongside or just before the web build, adding around two to three weeks, with one studio holding the whole thread.
